Natal Astrology – This is the one which with everyone is most familiar. Most interestingly, reading birth charts was done  in its truest and most original sense to predict particular facts about one’s life. How long would the person live? What would his occupation likely be? How many children would she have? The birth chart has these hard facts there to discover by the traditional astrologer. Today most people think reading the birth chart is about finding out about psychology, behavior and the way people react and create. Yes this is part of it. But there is an incredible amount of data to glean from the natal chart. Natal astrology is actually one of the most difficult concepts to truly master. Which is ironic in a way, since it is the most commonly done and most well-known method in popular astrology.

Horary Astrology – Horary means “of the hour”. This branch of astrology answers questions which can quickly guide you to immediate answers that you need addressed. “Where will I find the lost dog?” “Should I invest in this stock?” “How many days will it be before the letter I mailed gets to her?” These are the types of questions which can be quickly answered by knowing how to read a chart. How do you create a chart? The date, time and place where the astrologer understands the question is considered the birth of the question. And so the chart is read from that information. This method is actually an easier way to become familiar with the concepts of the planets and their signs and the relationships between them.

Mundane Astrology – This is the big picture astrology. World events, weather, socio-economic conditions. Just as questions and people have birth times, so do countries, a corporation, an announcement and an appointment. Astrologers can use this information to help guide them in investment choices in consultation with business and companies. Individuals can use this to assist them in economic forecasting for countries and business trends.

Synastry Astrology – This is relationship astrology. How well do two people interact? It depends  quite a bit on the relationship between the sun, moon, and the other planets and their astrology signs. If a man’s sun is in a good aspect with a woman’s moon, this can create an opportunity for pleasant conversation and for things to have less drama and challenge in starting a relationship. There are many planets which can be analyzed between two people to determine how they might get along and to find what their challenges and issues they may need to focus on to keep their relationship healthy and strong.
